12/7/2009 - This past weekend I reflected upon the status of our discontent. I checked in on the 912 movement, various tea party organizations and the Independence Caucus. The following resulted from this status check.

    Our daughters. A modern parable

A man and his wife were blessed by the birth of triplet daughters. With this blessing coming later in life, they named the girls Autumn, Summer and Winter. Amazed by the miracle they vowed to use all of their being to raise, educate and nurture their daughters.

Beginning at a young age they taught the girls the values: charity, courage, gratitude, honesty, hope, humility, moderation, respect, responsibility, sincerity, thrift and work. These life lessons were given with love and compassion.

The girls embraced these values with open arms and grew to become beautiful vibrant young ladies. As life would have it, a day came when the daughters announced that they were ready to go out on their own. They had decided to go in separate directions taking the values learned and make their own mark on the world.

Summer headed west, Autumn east and Winter stayed near home. On their own they begin to get a taste of the world. After a while, they each met a man, fell in love and looked forward to marriage. Before their weddings, the girls queried of their beloveds, the man's feeling regarding the values they were raised upon.

Summer's young man agreed that the values were nice and sounded good, but indicated more fun could be had if the values were ignored. Summer was conflicted, but love and lust overcame the value decision. She and her young man were married and began their lives to together. Together they set out to live the life of free spirit without responsibilities.

Together they begged, cheated, lied and stole to survive. As times became worse and need for money greater, Summer was given by her husband to other men for their pleasure.

Eventually, Summer’s husband grew tired of her, and in a fit of rage he beat her and left her to die. In a single gasp, Summer’s life had ended. The man and his wife never heard from Summer again.

On the other hand, Autumn’s young man embraced and declared his support for the values held dear to her heart. Proud Autumn called home and told the man and his wife about the nice man and their decision to be wed. Autumn and her husband began their life together and set to make a mark on the world.

Autumn’s husband got a job working for a powerful firm that provided them a good income. Autumn thought was life was good. Then there was a dire change.

Autumn’s husband began to ignore the values she revered. Unexplained sums of money were found hidden in the home. Mysterious phone calls were received in the middle of night. Meetings were held with people unknown to her. She found lipstick on his shirt collar.

Autumn confronted her husband, he denied any wrong doing. He said “You enjoy the benefits of my work. I do what I have to do to keep my job.” Autumn agreed and dismissed her concerns.

Later, Autumn awoke one morning feeling ill. She went to the doctor. After the examination, the doctor told her she had been poisoned. Autumn was aghast. Questions raced through her mind. How? When? Where? Who? The doctor told her the poison was placed in her food and that the tampered had occurred over a long period of time.

Not knowing what to Autumn called the man and his wife to seek counsel. Autumn was told by those that loved her, to leave her husband and never seem him again. Autumn argued with the justifications for keeping her husband.

Not satisfied with the opinion of the man and his wife, Autumn sought out the opinions of her friends. Each of them counseled that her husband was good, perhaps just misdirected and if confronted he return to the values Autumn cherished. Not thinking, Autumn failed to realize that her friends were her husband’s friend.

Once again Autumn confronted her husband and once again he denied any wrongdoing and said the he lives the same values. Autumn again gave in and accepted his explanations. Autumn did not know that her husband was actually lying about everything.

After a while Autumn, sensed things were still not right and began to investigate. She found that her husband had been lying to her. She confronted him once again. This time he grew angry, said he was growing tired of her accusations, beat her violently and left her for dead. In a single gasp, Autumn’s life had ended. The man and his wife never heard from Autumn again.

Winter’s young man , from a young age had been taught by his parents with love and compassion the values: charity, courage, gratitude, honesty, hope, humility, moderation, respect, responsibility, sincerity, thrift and work, shared the values Winter held dear to her heart. Winter returned home with her young man.  The young man met the man and his wife, asked for the hand of Winter in marriage and received their blessing.

Winter and her husband lived a long prosperous live, while holding strong to the values: charity, courage, gratitude, honesty, hope, humility, moderation, respect, responsibility, sincerity, thrift and work. They too were blessed with the birth of triplet daughters. The man and his wife enjoyed seeing their daughter become a wonderful mother.

The question left by the story is why and is this truly a parable.

Looking further, and putting into our current context here are the cast of characters:

    Man – Life

    His Wife – Liberty

Their Marriage – The pursuit of happiness and the foundation of our nation

Their daughters – We the People

Autumn’s young man – Democratic candidates

Summer’s young man – Republican candidates

Winter’s young man – Unaffiliated candidates

    A Conservative Libertarian? - Joe Bellis  - Congressional Candidate Kansas 3rd District - July 1st, 2009

As you read this, our freedoms continue to be usurpted in Washington. So-called "conservatives" have stripped all of us of our liberty, their liberla buddies are pushing us into socialism and driven us further into slavery. This site dedicated to ending this tyranny and will address what needs to be done to accomplish this.

During the past forty years many have been labeled "conservative", even our previous president sported the label. But few of these are true conservatives.

According to Webster's Dictionary the definition of the "Conservative" is:

adj.    Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change.

    n.       One favoring traditional views and values.

According to American Hertiage Dictionary the definition of the "Libertarian" is:

    n.   One who advocates maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the state.  One who believes in free will.

A Conservative Libertarian would be one who favors traditional views and values, advocates maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the state and believes in free will.  These traditionals views and values are best summed up in the documents that founded are nation.

The foundation of American government is our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. These documents written over 200 years ago have served our nation well. Our Constitution has stood the test of time, with only a few modifications, some good and others that were bad.

These documents comprise the traditional view and values of the American Republic.

These traditional views and values are:

The principle that all persons have equal rights, and that government is responsible to, and derives its powers from, a free people.

The purpose of government is to maintain a society which secures to every member the inherent and inalienable rights of man, and promotes the safety and happiness of its people.

This goverment exists for the interests of the people; justice, domestic tranquilty, defense, liberty (as defined in the preamble of the Constitiution).

The primary obiligation of government is to protecting these rights from violation.

This government of the people is limited by design to prevent the consolidation of government and tyranny associated with it.

This government of the people was designed with a separation of powers between the executive, judicial and legislative branches. Each branch has predefined duties and and responsibilities.

This government is to be  headed by an executive with the following responsibilities:

uphold the Constitution and administer the laws enacted there under, to inform the people, maintain their confidence, protect their rights and adhere to republican and to moral principles

This goverment would be limited in power by the Constitution with all other responsibilities being relegated to the States

A "conservative libertarian" would be a person inclined to perserve the values contained in these two documents.

    Second American Revolution - TJ Thompson — July 1st, 2009 3:41am - Candidate for Indiana’s 6th Congressional District

Ladies and Gentleman, we find ourselves at perhaps the most critical crossroads in the brief history of this nation. I believe that the 2010 and 2012 elections will be either the final nails in the coffin of America, or the fuel that propels us back to prosperity. There is no middle ground; no room for error.

The American people have a simple decision to make: Freedom or Failure.

The time to revolt has come. I am not shouting a call to arms, nor am I endorsing violence.

The Second American Revolution is a call to vote.

Eliminate the Destroyers Of Our Constitution.

Remove those who have plundered Liberty.

Remind the world that the American People rule this nation – not corrupt government.

We have celebrated and assisted many nations achieving Freedom and Independence, and lost our own in the process. It is time we get ours back!

The Socialist Regime that presently resides in Washington is a product of our own failures as a nation. Time after time, we have elected the same people to the same office. These perennial politicians are as much to blame as the voters for the detrimental State Of The Union. We kept electing them, and they kept looking out for themselves.

As campaigns arise and November 2010 draws near, take the following to heart:

Party affiliation, if any, means nothing. Absolutely nothing. What matters is the values, principles, and judgement of a candidate. Are you thinking, “How do I determine the true values of a candidate? Aren’t all politicians liars anyway?” The answer to the latter is “Absolutely not!” Regarding the former, ‘Glenn Beck’s Common Sense’ is 100% accurate in describing how to spot the true values and beliefs of a candidate:

“People who know they are right about an issue will never back down from a debate”

You may disagree with some, most, or all of a candidate’s views; but would you rather have an honest Representative that you don’t see eye-to-eye with, or a silver-tongued snake who only tells you ‘what you want to hear’? Personally, I’ll take an honest person with passion, conviction, and integrity over someone who possesses none of the above. High moral character trumps necessary rhetoric.

We The People, the time has come to unite as Americans.

Unite together with the passion and Patriotism that brought us together after 9/11, and let your voice charge upon Capitol Hill.

Muster your Courage, Anger, Love, and Pride.

Unite as Human Beings. Remove the labels and barriers that divide us.

Be not Democrat or Republican, Black or White, Liberal or Conservative, Rich or Poor – Be Americans.

    Take back your nation!
